Free Lunch Summer and a Job Opening

Sacramento Public Library announced their Lunch at the Library program for this summer. Lunch at the Library provides free, healthy meals to kids when school is out.

Starting June 13 through August 4, meals will be distributed at 15 library locations Tuesdays through Fridays from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m.

Meals are offered for youth 18 and under who are physically present and lunch must be consumed on site. No registration required, drop ins welcome.

  • Eligibility documentation is not required
  • Provided for free to all children 18 years and younger
  • Look for signage at the library or meeting room entrance

We’re Hiring: Lunch at the Library Program Coordinator

Starting April 15, we are accepting applications for Lunch at the Library Program Coordinator. Interviews will take place in early May. Learn more about this position.

  • Youth ages 14 to 19 years old are eligible to apply
  • Positions will be availalble at any of our 15 Lunch at the Library locations
  • Program Coordinators will be awarded a $500 scholarship at the end of the program
