September revision of Overview of Refugee Agencies in Sacramento Document

AACFC member John McCormack compiled a document listing the agencies involved in refugee resettlement and a brief description of them because he could not find one site on the web that listed the work of the 5 Sacramento refugee agencies .

This document is being updated as new information arrives. Please download the latest version (Sept. 2021) using the link below and dispose of previous versions

Due to the rapidly changing refugee situation this document may not be entirely accurate. Contact each agency specifically for information on the number of refugees currently needing support in Sacramento and how to assist them.

Documentary to Watch

John McCormack, St. Marks, recommends the documentary “United States of Tents“, “which explores the reality of homelessness in the U.S. as of 2018,  using real world visits to homeless camps, tiny homes and other shelter options, in Hawaii, Kansas City, Atlanta, New Jersey and other areas. Sacramento even gets a short video clip.”
